On a beautiful summer friday, Carolinian Canada friends and supporters met the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario and networked at beautiful Backus Heritage Conservation Area.
Prior to her appointment, Dianne was one of Canada's most respected environmental lawyers. She has 40 years' unparalleled experience writing, interpreting, and litigating Ontario's energy and environmental laws.

Special Announcement: Backus Woods added to the core! We celebrated with the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Foundation the addition of Backus Woods to the core of the Biosphere Reserve.

Environmental Commissioner of Ontario Dianne Saxe will speak about her role, the Environmental Bill of Rights, Natural Infrastructure and the significance of the Carolinian Zone followed by Q & A
1:30 pm – Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Special Announcement with Nature Conservancy of Canada and Long Point Biosphere Reserve Foundation
1:45 pm - Carolinian Canada Coalition AGM – get Big Picture updates, elections, and get connected - all welcome
3:15pm - Nature Conservancy of Canada Biodiversity Hotspot Introduction
3:30 pm – Biodiversity Hotspot Walk with Nature Conservancy of Canada – easy, dress appropriate for weather. Location is off-site, travel by car required.
3 – 4 pm – Remove displays and posters.

Note: 2016 Conservation Awards Ceremony will be held at the fall forum.
Group and individual members can vote. Group representatives and alternates who are registered with the Coalition are eligible to vote. Families are recognized as 2 individuals with a vote each.
