Compensation: Commensurate with experience. This position will be particularly suited to a strongly-motivated, experienced conservation professional (mid-career, or an “early-career high-achiever”) who is inspired to work in the challenging but rewarding environment of a small but important conservation NGO.
Focus: 1. Landowner Leaders program, Carolinian Habitat Action Plans; 2. Life science inventory fieldwork and reporting; 3. Ecological restoration planning; 4. Species At Risk and ecosystem recovery outreach education and outreach; 5. Carolinian Canada Conservation Action Plan implementation and monitoring; 6. Fund-raising.

Carolinian Canada is excited to announce that we will once again sponsoring an attendee to the sixth annual Ontario Nature Youth Summit.  The summit is a fantasitc oportunity for young leaders from across Ontario to come together for a weekend of exploration, learning, and outdoor fun.  The summit is an important event for young people who are interested in learning more about the important issues of the day like food security, endangered species, medicinal plants and sustainability.  Participants will partake in a youth leadership forum, develop plans for conservation work, and meet young leaders from across Ontario. Spectacular hiking and canoeing will be had, as well as time around the campfire with their peers.

On Saturday, August 15th Carolinian Canada along with Landowner Leaders Denise and Wayne Shephard are excited to host a viewing of their property at 2898 Burman Line, Wilkesport. The property, teeming with Carolinian species, is a total of 50 acres, including 12 acres of created wetlands, tallgrass prairie and reforestation. Please join us between 10 am and 2 pm to tour this great stewardship initiative.
