Who can grow a wildflower strip?

  • Everyone everywhere, young and old, urban and rural, can plant native species in the spirit and practice of Truth and Reconciliation 

Where can I grow a wildflower strip?

  • Any large space in need of naturalisation, from hedgerow to stream buffer. Replace your lawn!
  • Most species will take three years to fully mature; these seed mixes will create wild meadows.

  • Sites must be registered with In the Zone
  • Sites must be in or adjacent to Norfolk County 
  • Landowners must provide site preparation to ensure seed-soil contact
  • Sites with invasive plants are not eligible
  • Minimum planting size: 200m2
