We would like to thank anyone who participated in the recent webinar "How Changes to Implementation of Ontario’s Endangered Species Act May Affect Biodiversity: Join the Discussion". The webinar was a huge success, drawing over 240 attendees.
On January 15, 2013, presenters from Ontario Nature, Conservation Halton and Ecojustice provided an informative look at the upcoming changes to the implementation of Ontario's Endangered Species Act.
Proposed improvements were outlined in the Environmental Registry (www.ebr.gov.on.ca, number 011-7696) that was posted on December 5, 2012, and re-posted January 17, 2013.
Since the webinar, we have heard from many organizations that have submitted comments on the proposed changes. We are excited to hear from our participants so soon after the event!
