9:30 am - meet at MacPherson’s Restaurant - come earlier for breakfast / coffee (buy your own , allow for service time). Leave your car here.

9:45am sharp – bus departs, Mayor’s welcome

10 am - Hike Ipperwash Dunes & Swales Nature Reserve with Jill from Nature Conservancy of Canada - 4.5 km, easy, followed by bus to Kettle Point area

Noon - Lunch at Port Franks Community Centre to support the Optimist Tea Room (buy your own), Carolinian Canada’s welcome

1 pm – short walk to the Lambton County Heritage Forest trailhead

Lean more about the Heritage Forest
The Lambton County Heritage forest has a natural grass/compact dirt trail leading to the trailhead.  The forest is recognized through the Area of Scientific and Natural Interest Program.

1:45 pm – Hike L-Lake Management Area with Kate Monk from Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority – 1.5 km, easy

3 pm - Hike Ausable River Cut Conservation Area in Northville - short loop of .5 km, easy. Explore on wheelchair and paddle access.

4 pm – return to MacPherson’s Restaurant

5 pm - Network with new and old friends over dinner at Smackwater Jacks (buy your own) - RSVP when registering for the tour

You can create a 2 day get-away to explore the unique nature of Lambton Shores: Stay at an area B&B or Motel - Visit Lambton Heritage Museum - Sunset walk at the Pinery Provincial Park Beach - Visit the Rock Glen CA or hike the challenging Mystery Falls Trail in the Ausable River Valley near Arkona - Go shopping in Forest or take in an evening movie at its historic Kineto Theatre. (Plan your own!)
