Carolinian Canada’s 2014 Ecosystem Recovery Forum will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington.  This annual event brings together conservation practitioners from across Canada’s “deep south” to share their achievements and learn from each other in a spirit of collaboration and common cause.  This year’s Forum will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Carolinian Canada as an organization, as well as the 15th anniversary of our Big Picture vision. The Big Picture is about restoring a green, healthy, functioning ecosystem of natural cores and corridors across one of Canada’s most biologically diverse and threatened landscapes.

The 2014 Forum will celebrate some of the great conservation successes in the ecoregion as well as examine challenges we face in a part of Canada that has seen rapid, large-scale change over the past three centuries.  We will examine the tools we have at hand to monitor this change.  And we will look forward, asking what must we do to achieve the Big Picture vision in coming years?

Forum attendees will have the opportunity to discuss key issues and community concerns in relation to ecosystem recovery in the Carolinian life zone of Ontario.  Panelists will share grassroots’ projects and perspectives, experts will share their research and conservation successes, and all participants will work together to update the Big Picture Vision for coming decades to advance a collaborative conservation strategy for the 21st Century.

As a sponsor, you will have access to symposium participants, have your name and logo promoted throughout the event and included in the proceedings.
