Wheatley Provincial Park

Wheatley Provincial Park’s Carolinian Forest is unusual for its large number of shagbark hickory trees.  The forest floor has many wildflower species and other plants, including Trillium, Cardinal Flower, Royal Fern, Grape Fern, Cinnamon Fern, and Shining Club Moss.  Agrimony, Ragged Orchids, Spike-Rush, Wild Bergamot and Big Bluestem Grasses are found in the open fields near the park entrance.
