Backus Heritage Conservation Area provides a unique look at the cultural and natural heritage of Norfolk County. The site offers many seasonal special events, education programs, and recreational opportunities.
Unique features include the 1798 Backhouse Mill National Historic Site, a Heritage Village with 15 historic structures and displays of 19th century life, stories of shipwrecks on Lake Erie, a Conservation Education Centre, and two camping cabins.
