A collective has formed to strategize ways that we can help preserve native plants and their seeds in southern Ontario. We gather monthly in ethical space to work together on developing a seed strategy for southern Ontario through knowledge sharing, discussion, and working groups. The collective development of a draft strategy is to be completed by early 2024.
We are guided by diverse perspectives and shared interests to
- Respect the autonomy of native plants and the essential work they do
- Cultivate native plants to heal the land
- Learn from each other
- Save species and ecological relationships
- Invest in life through an ethical restoration economy
