Municipal leaders play a significant role in the protection and restoration of nature within urban boundaries, in assessing and responding to the risks confronting their communities now and in the future due to climate change. Communities across southern Ontario are implementing strategies that address the sustainability of the natural environment and are preparing to respond to forthcoming challenges in ways that will ensure strong economic opportunities and a good quality of life for all citizens. This panel will share specific municipal strategies and experiences plus deliver an unfiltered look at the risks that communities are facing as our panelists explore key questions like:
